– Whitney wins again! Former LH golfer Whitney Ohlhausen won another tournament for Harding University yesterday and set more records in the process. The freshman phenom says she’s learned to shrug off the bad shots.
"If I hit a bad shot, I get angry for a few seconds and move forward," Ohlhausen said. "Before, I would be angry for a few holes and my round would spiral. I have learned you have to stay in the moment."
Ohlhausen now accepts that she’s going to hit a few bad shots every round (for some of us, it’s more than a few…).
"Now that I know that, when a bad shot occurs I shake it off while walking to the ball and then take a deep breath and start the process of calculating what shot I’m going to hit," Ohlhausen said. "Whereas before I would be so mad, and I had no confidence in recovery, that I would let my round get away from me."
– The LH tennis team blanked W.T. White, 19-0, in District 9-5A team tennis action. Coach Bob Williams reports that "everyone won easily."
– Don’t expect to see LH alum Warren Carter play at the American Airlines Center soon. Although signed recently by the New York Knicks, Carter and the Knicks won’t play the Mavs in Dallas until March 13.
