LH got the ball back with 2:11 left in the half and drove to the Mesquite 21. With 7.5 seconds left, LH coach Scott Smith elected to kick a field goal and Jason Dann was good from 38 yards out.
The kick sailed through with 3.5 seconds left in the half. Mesquite ran one play and the half ended with LH leading 17-7.
