The third installment in he Dallas Children’s Theater’s series of plays about teen violence, written by resident playwright Linda Daugherty, opens Friday and addresses violence in teen dating. The play follows a teenage girl whose boyfriend is abusive and harassing. At one point, the boyfriend attempts to blackmail her using illicit camera-phone pictures. The play’s title, "dont u luv me?" is in text-messaging speak because the play addresses issues that teens face with the use of cell phones and technology. One disturbing trend that has emerged from that is "sexting," where teens send nude or partially nude pictures of themselves or others via cell phones. In several high-profile cases, sexting has led to teens facing felony child pornography charges.

The show runs through May 3 at the Rosewood Center for Family Arts. Public show times are Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 1:30 p.m. and Sundays at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $7. For more information, call the box office at 214-740-0051.
