Three Wallace Elementary School children who were removed from classes for a quarantine following exposure to Dallas Ebola victim Eric Duncan will complete their school year at Jill Stone Elementary in Vickery Meadow.
A district spokesperson says the withdrawal from Wallace and Richardson ISD is unrelated to the health of the students, and he adds that “…we will respect the family’s privacy regarding additional information.”
A notice from RISD reads: “We’re very happy that the students remained healthy and asymptomatic throughout the monitoring period and do not have the Ebola virus.”
Students from other nearby Dallas ISD schools also returned this week following a 21-day quarantine during which all remained healthy.
