Former northeast patrol officer for the Dallas Police Department Senior Cpl. John Robinson had surgery for a brain tumor last month. His comrades at the station — which is right in our neighborhood, at the corner of Audelia and Northwest Highway — are cooking up a smorgasbord of BBQ brisket, fried chicken and catfish and a variety of sides to raise money for Robinson’s medical and related expenses. Robinson is stationed at the Internal Affairs office now, and his wife is a patrol officer in our neighborhood.
