The good folks at Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake — along with the DFW Dermatological Societies, American Academy of Dermatology and the American Cancer Society — are making it super simple to detect problems with your skin, this weekend with free screenings from 8 a.m.-noon.

“Skin cancer is the most common of all cancers. According to the American Cancer Society, and melanoma — the most serious type of skin cancer — is almost always curable if found at an early stage,” event organizers note. Children under age 18 are welcome but must be accompanied by a guardian.

A reservation is recommended. Call 866.764.3627. The hospital is located at 9440 Poppy Drive.
