  • Want to see improvements around White Rock lake — namely the aging Stone Tables and Pavilion, reconstruction of fishing piers, and other infrastructure projects (the ones we outlined in this story,) in particular? You can do just that by lacing up your running shoes and participating in the Celebration! White Rock event, a one-night race and festival Thursday, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Winfrey Point. Entry in the 5k or 10k races is $30-$40.
  • Help ensure that every baby gets the healthy start in life they deserve by participating in March of Dime’s five-mile March for Babies fundraiser this Saturday, 9 a.m., at Norbuck Park. Register and learn more here
  • The WingSpan Theatre Company presents a staged reading of “Ropes and Stone,” by Dallas playwright, Arnold Shelby, at the Bath House Cultural Center on Friday and Saturday, at 7:30 p.m.
