World of Goods closes Lake Highlands store
The Catholic Charities thrift shop World of Goods, located at Plano-Northwest Highway, has closed.
Some eight hours ago a reader told us they heard the store was closing; when I drove by tonight, the store was virtually empty and definitely closed.
One of the unique services offered by this store was furniture-donation pickup. We hear they will continue this, but have not confirmed nor determined what they’ll do with those donations. We’ll get back to you on that.
Also, no word on what they did with the suit of armor that was never for sale.
