Top-notch service

Ebby Halliday and Amy Timmerman, the first recipient of the Ebby Halliday Community Service Award

Lake Highlands resident Amy Timmerman was chosen as the first recipient of the Ebby Halliday Community Service Award. The tribute was named this year for the legendary industry pioneer and is given annually by the MetroTex Association of Realtors to a member of the real estate industry for his or her role in building North Texas communities. Timmerman works at Nathan Grace Real Estate and was recognized for co-chairing the Chi Omega Christmas Market for the past two years. Under her leadership, the market enabled Dallas Chi Omega alumnae to distribute more than $500,000 to local charities and collegiate scholarships. Halliday herself presented the award.
