Don’t miss the story in today’s sports section of the Dallas Morning News about several members of the Lake Highlands girls’ soccer team showing up to a little girl’s team practice for tips and high fives. Andy Pell, who coaches the ten-year-olds and graduated from LHHS, supports the Wildcats faithfully and invited the role models to interact with and inspire his team. And role models they are. In addition to playing soccer, the girls have impressive resumes of academic achievement, leadership, and community service.
And I invite you to join me in Waco this Friday to watch the Wildcats’ next playoff game at 6 pm at Waco ISD stadium. The girls will face College Station A&M Consolidated (how do their cheerleaders yell THAT?!?) in a District 5-A area-round game. Go Cats!
