LHHS Advanced Placement Music Theory students won the AP Music Theory Bowl at Carrollton’s Ranchview High this weekend. Fourteen Wildcats participated, competing against more than 200 kids from 12 schools. Three of our students placed in the top 20 individually, including Garrett Wingfield, who was 2nd, twin brother Luke Wingfield 11th, and Havilland Voss 17th.

LHHS earned top team scores in sight-singing, harmonic dictation and general theory at the event, sponsored by APStrategies and the O’Donnell Foundation. LH’s AP Music Theory class is mainly comprised of band, choir and orchestra students and is taught by Terry Berrier.
