On Saturday, the LHHS Jazz Ensemble earned first place among District 5A schools in the TCU Jazz Festival. The competition is one of the most prestigious high school jazz festivals in the area and attracts top groups from North Texas and beyond.

This year, the LH ensemble bested Southlake Carroll, Rowlett High, and other perennial strong placers to take the first-place title. Mark Lara directs the LHHS musicians.
