The LH baseball team lost another tight District 9-5A contest, 3-0, at Richardson on Friday night.

Strong winds at the ballpark made batting difficult for both teams. LH managed only five hits on the night and the Eagles picked up six.

The Wildcats’ defense was on display early in the game as both second baseman Martin White and right fielder Ryan Browder threw out runners at home plate.

The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning and plated two more runs in the sixth.

Byron Burns pitched an impressive complete game for LH and Cameron Bodell slapped two of the team’s hits.

LH plays next at home Tuesday against W.T. White. The JV plays at 4:30 p.m. followed by the varsity at 7 p.m.
