They don’t call him "The Hitman from Quitman" for nothing. Neighborhood resident Craig Swann, a former All-Southwest Conference and All-WAC linebacker at SMU, finished first among The Prediction Line’s football forecasters this season.
Thanks to a season-ending collapse by yours truly, Swann’s 8-2 record on the final week was enough to propel him to victory. Swann finished 94-25 over the 12 weeks of the Lake Highlands football season, one game better than my 93-26.
The battle for third was hotly contested. It ended in a three-way tie between Dallas Cowboys radio sideline reporter Kristi Scales, Old 97’s guitarist Ken Bethea and LH fansite creator Jim Bortzfield. They were all 87-32, just seven games (out of 119 predictions) behind Swann.
Many thanks to all our Prediction Line pickers. We hope you enjoyed matching your football expertise with ours.
