The LH girls basketball team picked up its first win of the season, 40-37 over Frisco Centennial, in last weekend’s Alllen Lady Eagle Hoopfest. Tierra Scott (pictured) led LH with 12 points.
"We were pleased that the girls stalled at the end, made free throws and finished as a team," coach Holly Mulligan said. "It was a great opportunity for the girls to be in high-pressure siuations."
LH is 1-4 heading into today’s game at Wylie (4:30 JV, 6 p.m. varsity). The Lady Wildcats also play at Allen at 2:30 p.m. Saturday (1 p.m. JV). Just like in the Allen tournament, LH will again be short-handed going into those games while waiting for players to return from injury.
"We were playing great teams with half a team," Mulligan said. "They all had about 15 to 18 players on their bench and we had seven to eight on ours. It was crazy."
And if you missed LH’s game against Plano back on Nov. 13, that was your last chance to see the Lady Wildcats play at home until Dec. 15 against Molina – the second District 9-5A game.
