Auditions for the LHHS Highlandette drill team were held last week, with the names of 20 happy new Dettes announced Friday. Rookie line members will be: Macy Atkinson, Merrion Dale, Everness Evangelista, Meg Garcia, Amy Gerteisen, Jazmine Guillory, Elena Hall, Emily Hearne, Laura Hedrick, Lani Hines, Berkley Johnson, Yodit Kassa, Molly Maturi, Jordan Miller, Laura Leigh Oualline, Ruth Rutledge, Rebecca Ryan, Jazmyne Scott, Julia Swanner and Natalie Von Sternberg.

Returning to the line will be: Deborah Andrews, Sarah Blettner, Emily Bowen, Amberley Bradley, Katie Campbell, Susanna Carlson, Hayley Courtney, Kirsten Denton, Kate Dodgen, London Dority, Nicole Eggleston, Sarah Graham, Gina Gunsalus, Allie Heath, Megan Jodie, Ginny Laurin, Elizabeth Meaders, Abbey Moore, Sarah Norris, Katy Paulsen, Hannah Pittman, Allison Ritter, Mecca Salat-Hakim, Aubrey Thorburn and Katie Wnukowski.     Blogger CAROL TOLER and her husband, Toby, are the parents of four LHHS graduates. She has an MBA from SMU and is the proud recipient of the Exchange Club of LH's Unsung Hero Award and Councilman McGough's Blake Anderson Public Service Award. She received LHHS PTA's Extended Service Award, FMJH PTA's Charger Award and a Life Membership from the LHFC PTA. She has moderated candidate debates for Dallas Mayor, Dallas City Council and RISD Trustee races and taught seminars on garnering publicity for nonprofits. She completed training with Dallas Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation and Inside RISD, and she's a sustaining member of LH Women's League.
