The Exchange Club of Lake Highlands hosted another perfect Fourth of July Parade and Carnival Tuesday, despite storms overnight which threatened to spoil the fun. By the time Grand Marshal Wade Smith, an alum of Lake Highlands High School and the NFL, rolled down Church Road to start the show, the clouds were parting and the street was lined with excited young faces.

She has moderated candidate debates for Dallas Mayor, Dallas City Council and RISD Trustee races and taught seminars on garnering publicity for nonprofits. She completed training with Dallas Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation and Inside RISD, and she's a sustaining member of LH Women's League.
