Bring them your old cell phones, your tuckered out computers, and used up batteries— it’s the City of Dallas/Lake Highlands Elementary Recycling Roundup this Saturday, Nov. 21, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. De-clutter your house then hang around for hot dogs. Shop the LHE Spirit Store, hop in the bounce house, or adopt a puppy at the event and help raise money for the 4th grade trip to Sky Ranch in 2010.

These items are OK:
Electronic items (e-waste) such as televisions, video games, cell phones, computers, calculators, and printers Documents to be shredded 3 BOX LIMIT (armored secure truck, shredded off-site)
Donated items: toys, clothing, books, small appliances, housewares, dishes and glassware, sports equipment
Scrap metal: large parts, A/C units, large appliances (without Freon), ceiling fans, paper, plastics (#1-7, no Styrofoam), cans, glass Inkjet cartridges (no toner/laser cartridges, tubes or bottles) tires (no limit) auto and household batteries fluorescent and incandescent light bulbs
Usable building materials: doors, electrical items (wire, plugs, plates), fans, hardware (doors, cabinets), light fixtures, lumber, plywood, sheet rock, gutters, trim wood, pipe (PVC, metal, copper), plumbing supplies, tubs, sinks, canales, tools (hand and electric)
No: Furniture, chemicals, Styrofoam or soft plastics
