There’s a good piece in the Morning News today (sort of buried on Page 11B of the Metro section) talking about RISD’s excellent state ratings, along with Supt. David Simmons’ plans to build upon that success. It’s worth a read to see what Simmons has in mind, along with a review of how well things are going at RISD, particularly considering the growing challenges the district faces in terms of low-income students/families and multiple languages spoken among students.
