HighlandettesThe Lake Highlands Highlandettes brought home the gold this weekend after competing in Austin at the Texas State Championship Dance Competition.

The officers won Outstanding Choreography and Super Sweepstakes Awards for their novelty, jazz and contemporary dances. They also received the Officer Line Winner’s Circle Award.

The drill team was named Best in Class in the large team division and received the Outstanding Dance Technique Team Award. They also brought home Super Sweepstakes, Outstanding Choreography and High Point Awards for their contemporary, jazz and pop routines.

Team member Anna Starr earned 4th runner up in the solo awards, and the elite dance team was named 2nd runner up.
