Lake Highlands will play McKinney Boyd in the first round of baseball playoffs, traveling to McKinney Thursday for the first in a best of three series. The Broncos knocked the Wildcats out in the first round last year, and LH players are determined to rewrite history this go ’round. (Judging by the new Mohawk haircuts the boys are wearing to get pumped up about playoffs, my money’s on the Cats. But stay tuned. The guys say they won’t get proper cuts til playoffs are finished, and their sweethearts are a little nervous. Prom – and the requisite photo shoot – is just around the corner.)
Game 1 Thursday begins at 8pm, and game 2 Friday is at 8pm on LHHS home turf. If needed, game 3 will be Saturday at noon at McKinney’s field, 600 North Lake Forest Drive.
Go Cats!
