Incumbent Kim Caston and newcomer Adam Meierhofer will be sworn in as trustees of the Richardson Independent School Board without the expense of a district-wide election. Neither attracted opposition before the filing deadline Monday.

Kim Caston was elected in 2007 and currently serves as Secretary of the Board. She was a 5-time PTA president and active community volunteer. She worked for Coca-Cola before becoming a communications consultant.

Adam Meierhofer spearheaded the Lake Highlands Exchange Club’s Oktoberfest fundraiser, which brought 5,000 people to the LH Town Center site. He owns and runs a residential assisted living facility in LH with his wife, Brandy. They have three young children.
