D Magazine took a look back at the finest performances in Dallas theater over 2011 and crowned Lake Highlands High School grad Max Hartman the Top Male Performer last year. Starring in Kitchen Dog Theatre’s In the Next Room, “Hartman’s turn as the buttoned-up, closed-off doctor, finally willing to reevaluate his own position in the world in order to meet the needs of his wife, was nuanced and well-paced,” wrote D’s Liz Johnstone. “He stood out amongst a good ensemble cast.”
