If you’re going to host a family picnic at your local elementary school, it doesn’t hurt to have the owners of the newest restaurant trend living in your neighborhood, sending their kids to your campus.

At this year’s annual Merriman Park event, Salvatore and Jeanne-Marie Gisellu took an evening off from their downtown Plano restaurant, Urban Crust, to deliver food and a portable pizza kitchen to bring the party a little pizzazz. The MPE Dad’s Club grilled burgers on the school playground and welcomed more than 500 students, parents and teachers to the party.
