The Lake Highlands Men’s Wearhouse in Medallion Center is participating in the clothing chain’s National Suit Drive throughout the month of August, accepting donated suits to help unemployed men make a good first impression on job interviews. Your donation will earn you a 50% off coupon to be used in the store.

Your contribution of gently used professional attire (minimal wear, still in fashion please) can be dropped off at any Men’s Wearhouse location, where they will add a new tie and pass it along to local nonprofit, Workforce Solutions of Greater Dallas. Sports coats, dress slacks, dress shirts, dress shoes, sportswear, outerwear, ties and other accessories will also gratefully be accepted.

Oh, and if you’re downtown today and you happen upon two undressed young men wearing sandwich boards and walking the streets, don’t fret. I saw them yesterday, and they were Men’s Wearhouse employees, working to get the word out about the Suit Drive. Actually, I’m not sure anyone even noticed. At 110 degrees, shedding their clothing seemed perfectly rational.
