Richardson Rampage Hockey is looking for players to join their JV and varsity ice hockey teams during the coming school year. Tryouts are this Saturday at Richardson’s Ice Training Center at 12:30 pm, and students entering 8th through 12th grades with ice skating and/or in-line skating experience are encouraged to attend. The team is open to all Richardson, Rockwall and Wylie students, including kids attending private schools in those areas.

Leading the squad will be Wildcat senior Patrick Ford, who played on the team when they won State his sophomore year. Patrick scored 15 goals and had 18 assists during that 2010 dream season, and he’s hoping for a repeat to cap off his high school career. In 2011, the varsity team finished 3rd in the East Division and played in the quarter finals of playoffs, and the JV squad finished first with an 18-3-1 record and made it to the semis.

Supporting Patrick will be LHHS sophomore Jackson Hurst and freshman Daniel Ford, Patrick’s younger sibling. The brothers have never played on the same team, so the boys and their parents, Corey and Becky, are looking forward to a special year.

If your athlete is interested in a tryout, you can get more info by emailing Jack Schwartz here or calling him at 214-914-8629. Good luck!
