A friend sent me this link for a company selling delicious-looking baked goods and offering free shipping for those sending goodies to friends and family in the military. I haven’t tried the product and I don’t have a loved one serving abroad, but I love the idea.

I also enjoy watching video of soldiers returning home to surprise their children and of community groups greeting troops at the airport (the LHHS Student Council makes frequent treks to DFW to welcome our troops). If you’d like to welcome our men and women of the armed forces, a plane arrives at DFW most mornings between 8 and 11 am. You can call 972-574-0392 the night before for exact time, terminal and gate or you can visit this website for more info.
