Election Day for the current Constitutional, Joint and Special Election falls on Nov. 4. Three RISD bond proposals totaling $1.4 million sit alongside an array of constitutional amendments put forward by the state legislature on the ballot.

The three bond proposals: dubbed A, B and C, cover facilities maintenance, construction, technology purchases and stadium upgrades.

Proposition A, accounting for $1,338,600,000 of the package, will help complete middle school transitions at the remaining RISD junior highs (Lake Highlands and Forest Meadow have already made the transition). The proposal will further fund facilities maintenance at most campuses in the district, which estimates the average age of its buildings to be approximately 58 years old. Athletic equipment, tennis court lighting and the construction of a new Career and Technical Education Center will also be funded under Prop A.

Proposition B largely funds the purchase of new devices for students, staff and administration to the tune of $54 million. The last proposal, Proposition C, will pay to make RISD stadiums like Wildcat-Ram more ADA accessible.
