Police say the Dallas Police Department Robbery Unit connected a series of robberies on the northeast side of the city through a series of investigations in late August. Video footage identified 19-year-old Jontae Anderson as a suspect using video footage from a location where one of the robberies took place, and an arrest warrant was issued shortly after, police say.

On Sept. 1, police say a joint operation resulted in the arrest of Anderson and his associate, 21-year-old Curtis Carter. Police also seized multiple firearms, including an AR-15 Rifle with 60-round magazine, ammunition and a purse tied to incidents during the arrest.

Anderson was charged with one count of aggravated robbery, with multiple other robbery charges pending, and is currently being held on a $150,000 bond, Dallas County Jail records show. Carter was charged on multiple outstanding warrants, including indecent exposure and evading arrest charges.

Police were unable to provide more information on where the robberies took place and whether the crimes were against businesses or residences.

The investigation is currently ongoing and being documented under case numbers 125877-2025 and 125891-2025.
