After beating Irving to cap off an undefeated season in UIL District 7-6A play, the Lake Highlands High School Varsity Football team will host South Grand Prairie at home this Friday.
The Wildcats scored 55 first half points to secure an easy win against Irving last Thursday in a game that finished 68-22. With the win, the team cemented their status as district champions, having clinched the title of city champions (against RISD teams) earlier in the season.
Due to their regular season success, the Wildcats will play their first-round playoff game at home. Friday’s opponent, South Grand Prairie, finished the regular season fourth in District 8-6A with a 4-3 record. The game will kick off at 7 p.m.
Tickets can be found on the RISD website. For more information on the district’s clear bag policy, click here.
