The Wildcats held Nimitz scoreless through three quarters in a game that saw the team clinch a playoff berth.

Running back Christian Rhodes, who recently received scholarship offers from Ole Miss and Arizona, ran for 62 yards and a touchdown on eight attempts. Quarterback Harrison Day completed eight of 12 passing attempts for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Jordan Hutchinson had an impressive receiving night, hauling in three receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown.

The Wildcat defense held Nimitz to just 158 yards of total offense, with just 58 yards passing and 96 yards on the ground.

With the victory, the Wildcats remain atop 7-6A standings at 5-0 in district play, 6-2 overall. LHHS will look to keep momentum going against RISD rival Richardson High School this Friday at home for senior night.Â
