Take your laptop with you if you go on vacation this week. It looks like an announcement may be coming about a new principal at Lake Highlands High School.

The reflector committee met last week to explore the traits of a perfect principal, and the screening committee held a long day of interviews yesterday. Bob DeVoll, Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Schools has been described as “a man on a mission,” and new RISD Superintendent Dr. Kay Waggoner is said to be actively seeking a candidate with “the innovative educational ideas” that Walter Kelly brought to the job. An announcement is expected by the end of the week.
