The founders of White Rock Que admit their idea was unusual from the start — create a spirited barbecue competition to support the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center after a serial rapist terrorized Lake Highlands in 2013. Twelve years later White Rock Que is bigger and livelier than ever, and almost $800,000 has been raised for DARCC.
White Rock Que 2025 kicks off this Saturday at Oak Highlands Brewery’s new location near Beltline and 75, with live music, craft beer and buckle-your-knees delicious brisket, pork and ribs. Lockwood Distilling Company has signed on as the event’s newest partner, and $50 tickets are available online here.
Doors open at 4 p.m., and food will be served beginning at 5 p.m. White Rock Que has been named one of the Best Charity Events in DFW, and 100% of ticket proceeds and donations go directly to DARCC, Dallas County’s only rape crisis center providing advocacy, education and counseling for those impacted by sexual violence.
Oak Highlands Brewery is at 500 Lockwood Drive in Richardson.
