The Lake Highlands High School varsity baseball team clinched the UIL District 7-6A co-title Friday night with a win over Irving.
Coming off an eight-game winning streak, the Wildcats rolled to an 8-1 senior night win at home against Irving. The win clinched the team’s share of the UIL District 7-6A title, with Jesuit Dallas finishing with the same (12-2) district record.
As part of the senior night festivities, team moms were able to select their senior’s walkout song.
The team finished the season on a high note after completing four consecutive district series sweeps. On April 23, the team completed a shutout 7-0 win over Irving for the first victory of the series.
