Will is director of contemporary music at Lake Highlands United Methodist Church, sponsor of the event, but the “party on the patio” is open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to enjoy Shady’s delicious burgers, tacos, salads and shakes. A full Shady’s menu is available here.

Donations will support The Mom Community (MomCo), formerly MOPS. MomCo meets at LHUMC to provide a nurturing environment where moms can come together to build friendships, grow personally and spiritually, and find a safe environment for their children to play and learn about God’s love. LHUMC Night at Shady’s runs April 2 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Inside the restaurant, Shady’s will be celebrating Wallace Elementary, illuminating Autism Awareness Day and hosting the official book launch party for “Spectrum of Cars: Helping All Children Find Their Voice” by Tonya Baradaran. From 3 to 7 p.m., 10% of food and book sales will support Wallace Elementary.

Shady’s is at 9661 Audelia.
