Vector Brewing is hosting a fundraising event benefiting childhood cancer research this Saturday.

From 1:30 to 3 p.m, Vector Brewing will host its annual Brews for Baldrick’s fundraiser, benefiting the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Neighbors looking to participate in the event can sign up to shave their heads in solidarity with those affected by cancer. At the time of publication, ten people have signed up to shave their heads, with close to $7,000 of Vector’s $10,000 goal already raised.
The Baldrick’s Foundation is a national nonprofit organization which raises money and funds grants for childhood cancer research. It was launched in 2000 at an reinsurance industry St. Patrick’s Day party that left 19 heads shaved and $104,000 donated.
Last year, Vector raised $8500. Neighbors looking to sign-up to have their head shaved or donate here.
