Fig, goat cheese and prosciutto pizza at Urban Crust

Jeanne-Marie Gisellu was one of the founders of Fresh Fruit Fridays in 2018 when she served on the PTA board at Lake Highlands High School. The pandemic shut down the program, which distributes free apples, oranges, bananas — along with an encouraging smile from mom volunteers — to students as they enter the building at week’s end.

The healthy giveaway is back up and running, and it’s getting another boost from the Gisellu family. Chef Salvatore Gisellu and the family’s Plano restaurant, Urban Crust, will be featured at NorthPark’s Eataly Dallas for their Quattro Mani pop-up on Feb. 20, and a portion of sales will go to Fresh Fruit Fridays.

Quattro Mani is Eataly’s popular guest chef series, and the name is appropriate, since it’s Italian for “four hands.” Gisellu will feature a one-of-a-kind Sweet & Smokey Pizza, hand-tossed with burnt ends, fontina, provolone, sweet red onions and drizzled hot honey. A complimentary glass of prosecco and a chance to chat with Gisellu and his team are part of the deal.

Reservations are required and may be made here.

Quattro Mani will run from 4 to 10 p.m. on Feb. 20. Eataly is between Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom off Boedeker, and you may enter from inside or outside the mall.
