Funeral service times have been announced for a fallen DPD officer killed in an off-duty motorcycle crash earlier this month.

29-year-old Officer Gabriel Bixby of DPD’s Northeast Patrol Division was killed in a crash Jan. 7 around 5:30 p.m. on State Highway 276 in Hunt County, as first reported by Fox 4. Bixby leaves behind one child, according to his social media.
A candlelight vigil was held at the substation last Friday evening, and a patrol car has been parked on the front lawn and decorated to honor Bixby.
According to a memorial page on Rest Haven Funeral Home’s website, a funeral service for Bixby will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 28 at Lakepointe Church in Rockwall.
Lakepointe Church is located at 701 E Interstate 30 in Rockwall.
