The Texas State Bobcat Marching Band — “The Pride of the Hill Country — is counting down the hours to their big halftime performance at the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl Friday. They’ll be rehearsing at Wildcat-Ram Stadium, and the community is invited.

The Bobcats (7-5, 5-3 Sun Belt Conference West) will take on the Mean Green of North Texas (6-6, 3-5 American Athletic Conference) at Gerald J. Ford Stadium at SMU. The game kicks off at 3 p.m., and the Bobcats, led by quarterback Jordan McCloud, are favored to win.

The band rehearsal will run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 3. Wildcat-Ram Stadium is at 9449 Church Road. Admission is free.
