The Bath House Cultural Center is hosting a celebration of a Mexican Cuisine staple this weekend.
Celebrating a beloved maize-wrapped specialty, Festival de Tamal gives neighbors a chance to learn more about the history and significance of tamales in Latin culture. The event is free to attend and runs from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Food vendors will be at the Bath House for the run of the event selling tamales and other marketplace bites. There will also be a lecture on tamales by writer Maribel Rubio and an Aztec dance performance by Mitotiliztli Yaoyollohtli Atztec Dance Company.Â
