Running until early January, the Arboretum’s annual holiday program will feature the 12 Days of Christmas, Pauline and Austin Neuhoff Christmas Village, a holiday-themed DeGolyer House and more.

The festivities will kick off tomorrow, Nov. 13, with a special opening ceremony beginning at 6 p.m. on the DeGolyer House steps. Neighbors will be able to tour various areas of the garden, including the Christmas Village, accompanied by live seasonal music from the Turtle Creek Chorale. Santa is expected to be available for inquiries at the village.

The 12 Days of Christmas gazebos, created by Dallas Opera production designer Tommy Bourgeois, will be lit up in the Jonsson Color Garden at 7 p.m, officially signaling the start of Holiday at the Arboretum.

The Arboretum garden will close at 9 p.m.

Holiday at the Arboretum runs from Nov. 13 to January 5.

Each year, the DeGolyer House takes on a new seasonal theme for the run of Holiday at the Arboretum. This year, the decor will mimic the aesthetic of famed 15th Century Italian sculptor Luca della Robbia, with organizers hoping to blend “15th-century Florence with timeless American tradition”. The house will brim with flowers, fruit, vegetables and foliage, as arranged by designer Michael Hamilton for “A Della Robbia Holiday.” There will also be several terracotta statues by Della Robbia on-site.

The Christmas Village features marketplaces, food and drink stands, and activities for children. It will also serve as Santa Claus’ home for Holiday at the Arboretum. For a schedule of appearances, click here.
