From 1-3 p.m. at the library, neighbors can enjoy crafts, dancing and vendors. There will also be free carnival games, organizers say.

Dance demonstrations by Corazon Valiente, a Dallas Folklorico group, will also be on-site.

Listed vendors expected to attend: De Colores Collective, El Mero Mero Elotero, Kalpulli Zitlaollin, Letty’s Sweets, Lucy’s Uniques and Sewn by Pris.

The celebration is being held in connection with Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from Aug. 15-Sept. 15 each year. The dates are set to coincide with the many Latin American independence celebrations which take place during this time.
