According to the DPD, officers responded to a call around 11:25 p.m. July 18 in the 11300 block of Amanda Lane to find 18-year-old Khamoni Williams shot and lying on the ground. He was taken to a local hospital where he died.

“It is with profound sadness that I inform you that one of my students, Class of 2024 graduate of Emmett J. Conrad High School Khamoni Williams, was tragically killed last night,” wrote Rita Jones. “He was a valued student, and his loss is deeply felt by all who knew him. He was my school son, and I loved him like one of my own.”

Jones teaches courses in finance at Conrad and has set up a Go Fund Me page to help the family pay for funeral arrangements.

“He was an outstanding student, and under the leadership of the Academy of Finance (AOF) he received a certification with Intuit QuickBooks and the MB 920 Microsoft Dynamics 365. Khamoni was also a member of our football team. He touched the lives of many students and staff members with his smile, enthusiasm and dedication. This is a huge and difficult loss to our Conrad family.”

DPD Detective Joshua Conklin is investigating the homicide under case number 110441-2024. Anyone with information is asked to contact him at 214-671-3584 or at Joshua.conklin@dallaspolice.gov.
