Richardson ISD has announced its annual Backpack Bash, with several Lake Highlands area elementary schools hosting giveaway events.
On Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Merriman Park, Northlake and Wallace Elementaries, registered RISD students and their families can access free school supplies, enrollment support and other resources as part of the Backpack Bash.
No prior registration is required to receive school supplies. Event times will vary by location, and campuses will provide updates as they become available.Â
In past years, RISD has given away over 5,000 filled backpacks at Backpack Bashes. The supplies are provided by local sponsors, who this year include Dallas College’s Richland Campus and Grace Church of Lake Highlands.
