The East Dallas Uke-A-Ladies are hosting their annual Uke-a-Palooza event this Thursday at the Bath House Cultural Center.
Free to the public, Uke-a-Palooza begins at 6 p.m. on June 27. Described as a “day filled with fun, learning, and music,” the event will offer lessons for beginners. A limited number of ukuleles will be available for new players to borrow. The event is also open to more seasoned players and those who wish to watch rather than play. There will be performances by the Uke-A-Ladies, and the public is invited to join them in playing.
Uke-a-Palooza is offered through the Friends of the Bath House, the Bath House Cultural Center, and the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture. The East Dallas Uke-A-Ladies are a group of area ukelele enthusiasts who meet and rehearse on the weekends.
