“It’s a hard knock life!”
Talented students from Lake Highlands Junior High and Forest Meadow will team up Thursday and Friday nights to present Annie Jr., based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning Broadway megahit.
Despite her next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City, Little Orphan Annie will charm your heart as she works to find the parents who abandoned her on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Armed with loads of pluck and positivity, Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan and finds a home with billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
The curtain goes up at 7 p.m. on the big stage at the Lake Highlands High School auditorium. Tickets may be purchased at the door or via the QR code on the poster. Adults pay $10 and students pay $5.
