Construction issues related to renovations at Fair Park put a kink in plans to host the thousands of shoppers who normally attend the event, so organizers have been busy searching for solutions. Market Hall offers beaucoup space for hundreds of unique merchants from all over the country and bountiful parking for shoppers from all over the metroplex.

Market Hall at Dallas Market Center is located at 2200 Stemmons Freeway and surrounded by Dallas’ Design District, Hospital District and Oak Lawn. The venue hosts dozens of conventions and events each year, from golf expos to volleyball tournaments to art fairs to bridal shows.

“We are looking forward to welcoming shoppers to our new home at Dallas Market Hall and to kicking off the holiday shopping season this fall in our community,” says Debbie Lang, co-chair of the event with Nancy Woodall and Karen Hunt. “While we have changed our dates and location, our mission to support our local beneficiaries and to provide collegiate scholarships remains unchanged.”

Chi Omega Christmas Market has long been on shopper and vendor calendars the weekend before Thanksgiving, so this new September date will be an interesting alternative. Will warmer weather draw larger crowds, or will soccer moms be too busy cheering their kids on the pitch to gather their friends for a day (or night) out? Will buyers hang back with their credit cards waiting to feel the Christmas spirit, or will sales surge as vendors arrive fully stocked at the beginning of the holiday season?

Chi Omega Christmas Market has returned more than $10 million to 146 community nonprofits, including $572,000 last year to After8 to Educate, Catch Up and Read, Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center, Hope Cottage, For the Love of the Lake, My Possibilities, Methodist Health System Foundation SANE Nurses, Project Transformation, 24 Hour Club, Traffick911, RISE Adaptive Sports, Youth Equipped to Succeed and Make-A-Wish North Texas. Beneficiaries for 2024 will be announced soon.
