CCDC leaders are preparing to celebrate the Mother’s Day Out and preschool’s 50th anniversary this spring, and they’re asking former students and parents to scour old photo albums and scrapbooks looking for photos and memorabilia. The Christian Childhood Development Center was established at Lake Highlands United Methodist Church in the 1973-74 school year and is still going strong.
Kayla Morton, CCDC board chair, says the Open House April 28 will run from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and feature a tour of last year’s facility updates, video with interviews of former teachers, photo slide show and display of collected memorabilia. If your family has items to share, upload your photos using this link or email Kayla at KaylaLockie@att.net.
At 4:30 p.m., stick around as Pastor Andy Roberts recognizes returning staff — veterans of five decades of faithful service to Lake Highlands children.
