Dallas police continue searching today for the person or persons who shot Richard Pinkney near a Lake Highlands greenbelt Wednesday. Pinkney, 29, died of his injuries.
Officers were called to the scene about 2:30 p.m. and found Pinkney lying on the sidewalk at the entrance to the trail at Arbor Park Drive between Meadowknoll and Vista Oaks. Dallas Fire Rescue transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
DPD’s Air One helicopter spent more than an hour searching the creek nearby after the shooting, but the killer remains on the loose. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective John Valdez at 214-671-3623 or john.valdez@dallaspolice.gov.
