JJ’s Cafe, our runner-up for 2023 Best Lunch Spot, is set to be featured on America’s Best Restaurants.
America’s Best Restaurants is a TV show that features restaurants around the country. JJ’s episode filmed on September 15. The community gathered for the filming party at JJ’s to support them for the episode.
JJ’s Cafe serves a wide range of items including breakfast, brunch and Tex-Mex. Some of their most popular items are huevos rancheros and Nutella crepes topped with strawberries and whipped cream. They offer many lunch items as well such as burgers, sandwiches and even steak.
The cafe is a beloved gathering place for locals and visitors according to Yelp reviews.
“On the weekends, JJ’s really shows love and gives you two complimentary mimosas with your order,” said Yelper Alesia A.
They also frequently hosts local events and live music, creating a hub where residents can come together to celebrate talent and creativity.
Owner Jose Ramirez and his wife say their ultimate success is the result of very hard work and stressing the importance of providing great service. Jose also prefers to be present and at the restaurant almost everyday so he can get to know his customers and oversee the rest of the staff.
In 2018, Jose won Restaurant of the Year from the Lake Highlands Chamber of Commerce. He was recognized for expanding his business to include catering and an event center. The event center, JJ’s Banquet Hall, is located directly next to the Cafe. They can host and cater your event and have connections with other vendors to fit your needs.
